I was attacked on December 20th, 2003, with hammer blows, stab wounds, and I was set on fire.
He also killed my son in my womb. I experienced my afterlife... flowered meadows, children dressed in white, and then my martyrdom at the burn center. They immersed me in liquid tanks and sanded my body alive, cutting off pieces of skin. And then 27 surgeries... every day was one more day... 18 kg of muscle mass lost.

My attacker was sentenced to 21 years in prison, but it was reduced to four years of house arrest. That year, politics also granted a pardon, so he served only a few months of house arrests. After 21 years, I am still unemployed.
My attacker, on the other hand, got a job at Unicredit bank.
I founded my association "Libera di vivere" which helps others, and I am invited to share my testimony throughout Italy.
