I'm 43 years old, I was born in Rome, I'm a journalist and I'm an anchorwoman, and for a few years now I've been presenting Elisir with Michele Mirabella, which is the historic RAI TV-Show focusing on health and medicine. We're onair every morning on RAI3 and I am a member, I am the President, of the women's council of the Italian League for the fight against cancer, LILT, which has chosen me as one of the testimonial for the breast cancer prevention campaign in 2020.

My commitment to drive women, all women, to get screened is real. I try to help, from what I understand from TV, from my personal knowledge, from what I have learned in my life within LILT. Even one woman being cured of cancer for us is a victory and among other things in LILT we are noticing that the age of onset of breast cancer is going down.

The age of onset of breast cancer is getting younger and younger, so we want to communicate this, we want to encourage young women to self-examine their breasts to check, to know their bodies and understand if there is something wrong. But even more we want to encourage them to do screenings, which are made up of painless, non-invasive, and free of charge examinations, in LILT clinics scattered throughout Italy. In short, the sooner the better. So don't let your guard down, guard yourself and try to live your life in the best and healthiest way possible.
